Planet of the apes 2001 remake.
There will be spoilers, becareful. Also LONG READ

Ah, a remake from the greatest movie in the franchise.
The only problem is, that this is CRAP.
This is like an insult to the original movie.

The year 2029, aboard the United States Air Force station, Leo (Mark Wahlberg) works closely with apes who are trained for space tasks. His favorite ape co-worker is a chimpanzee named Pericles. With a electromagnetic storm approaching the station, a small space pod piloted by Pericles is used to probe the storm. Pericles's pod heads into the storm and disappears. Against his commanding officer's orders, Leo takes a second pod and goes in pursuit of Pericles. Entering the storm, Leo crashes on a planet called Ashlar in the year 5021. He discovers that the world is ruled by apes who can speak human language and treat human beings as slaves.
Leo comes across a female ape named Ari (Helena Carter), who protests the awful treatment humans receive. Ari decides to buy Leo and a female slave named Daena (Estella Warren) to have them work as servants in the house of her father, Senator Sandar. Leo escapes his cage and frees other humans. Ari sees them, but Leo manages to convince Ari to join a human rebellion against the apes.

General Thade and Colonel Attar march ape warriors in pursuit of the humans. Leo discovers Calima, a forbidden, but holy, site for the apes.

Now on to the bad parts of this movie.
In the original movie, the humans would be mute and couldn't speak, even the main character didnt speak since he got shot in the throat. But in this one, they all talk even before being captured.
They broke a rule mentioned in Battle of the planet of the apes (Ape shall never kill ape), of course Aldo did it then, but they never killed an ape in the original movie. Anyway like I was saying, Thade (who actually looks like ceaser from TROTPOTA which I find nice), kills about 2 apes, and Attar kills 1 ape.
They tried to fit two movies in, Planet of the apes (original) and uh, Conquest of the planet of the apes. It kinda worked, but it never happened like the way in the original, I actually forgot if they did add one, but I remember it was nothing like this if it was in the original.

Well, I finally managed to find the movie, I would fit the 2001 movie in, but uh, not enough room.
There will be spoilers, becareful.

Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)

This sequel follows the ape leader, Ceaser (Roddy McDowall), many years after he led the revolution in the previous film, Caesar tries to cultivate peace between the apes and the surviving humans. A gorilla general named Aldo (Claude Akins), however, Caesar is married to Lisa (Natalie Trundy), the female ape of the previous film.
They have a son, named Cornelius (Bobby Porter) in honor of Caesar's father.

Caesar regrets having never known his parents until his human assistant MacDonald (Austin Stoker) tells him about film archives of his parents, The archives are located in the Forbidden City, after obtaining weapons from the armory, Caesar travels with MacDonald and Virgil (Paul Williams) to the Forbidden City and sneaks in to find the archives. However, there are radiation-scarred humans still living there under the command of Governor Kolp (Severn Darden). Caesar and his party view the recordings of Cornelius and Zira and learn about the future of the world, but barely have time to study the tapes before they have to escape being captured. Caesar assembles a meeting to report his discoveries at the Forbidden City.

Most of the time the apes mouth wouldn't move with talking, but now it hardly does, you do notice it, but not alot like the other movies, so I am happy they were working on it.
Ceaser, Virgil and Macdonald were pretty stupid in the forbidden zone, if they wanted peace, wouldn't they stop, put their hands up and say "We come in peace"? I seriously expected that, but uh, I guess it is hard when you are being shot at. The mutant radioactive human well, not really mutant, even tho they can contact via thoughts, are also stupid.
If they wanted them captured, why shoot them? Seriously, why not firstly say "Freeze" or "stop"? Nope, they didn't, they just wanted to shoot them. By the way, I understand if it was just apes, but there is Macdonald with them.

There was mutant radioactive human thing, that actually said to the governor of the forbidden city, that maybe the apes and the human was just searching for something, and was there in peace. I suspected that he would go warn the apes, what did he do? Nothing, let them set a nuke up, let them gear up, do not tell the apes and play checkers, yes...He really did play checkers.

I give it 7.5/10

Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)

Hey guys, I got a movie review, and I decided to review ANY movie I see, instead of the cinema ones.
THERE will be spoilers, THIS is a review site, becareful.

Resident Evil: Extinction 2007
I have not seen the other movies, I only found this when I was randomly searching through the TV.

The film begins with Alice (Milla Jovovich) waking up at the mansion, just like the end of the first Resident Evil. Alice defeats the usual obstacles, Her body is taken outside and dumped into a pit. The pit is then shown to be filled with hundreds of Alice clones. The shack is surrounded by a high fence and hundreds of zombies trying to get in the facillity.
A couple of years after the T-virus escaped Raccoon City, it has spread around the world. Umbrella (I have no idea what that is, I am actually reading the wikipedia to remember some stuff) has placed underground facilities to prevent anyone from the survivors to find out about Umbrella.

Later in the film, there is a cargo in las vegas, with the eiffel Tower and other stuff from all of the world, which I find weird, but I never seen the other films and maybe they kinda explain it.
Anyway, the cargo has zombies in it, but there is only one on set, and there is about a hole town in it, but a cargo could not FIT half a town in it, which I found stupid, they either put more cargo's around the town, or not. I did find it cool that some one climbed the eiffel tower for a sniping spot.

I really enjoyed this film, but the cargo part was stupid in my opinion, was there more? Were they lying down? Or is it a portal in it, but yes, in alot of films it tends to happen, but still, I find it kinda stupid.
I also did kind of expect Jill valentine or Claire to be the main character, but from what I know, Jill was not mentioned and Claire was in the movie but still. Didn't notice she was.

The acting is good, the zombie costumes kinda are okay, they from a 6 from the 1 to 10 scale, they should of explained it abit better, the ending was fantastic, seriously, I really want to see the other films. So much for infomation, it is pretty late, and I do not remember alot.

I got bad news and good news. The bad news is, me volunteering is still going BUT, instead of two movies a month, it is one, and let alone, its a 50% of a good film of one happening.
Good news, I will be doing other reviews such as video games.

And the planet of the apes reviews will continue, just none this month. Sorry everyone, that is if anyone reads this. I shall see you next month.

Happy 2012 everyone (Nearly said Merry Christmas), I was originally going to post some reviews of planet of the apes, I did but not all like I wanted, I have been busy. So in this month, I will be catching up on them. I hope you have a great year, hopefully some good films unlike most of the films in 2011.

Until then, uh...I can't really put a review down since I haven't watched any movie yet.

Conquest from the Planet of the Aps (1972)
This will have the a line mentioned from the last review (aka Film), SO LEAVE till next month since that is when I finish these reviews.
From the other film, Zira mentions about the apes will Rise when all dogs and cats are killed by a virus.
And this film is that time.

After all cats and dogs are killed by the diease, they are replaced by apes. Armando (Ricardo Montalbán second character) and Caesar (Roddy McDowall main character), a young chimpanzee horseback rider in Armando's circus, distribute flyers around a large city to advertise the circus' arrival. Armando warns the chimpanzee to be careful; should anyone learn his identity as the child of Cornelius and Zira, it would mean their deaths. They see apes performing various menial tasks, and are shocked at the harsh discipline on disobedient apes. Seeing an ape being beaten and drugged, Caesar shouts, "Lousy human bastards!" Quickly, Armando takes responsibility for the exclamation, explaining to the policemen that it was he who shouted, not his chimpanzee. The surrounding crowd becomes agitated, and Caesar runs away.
Hiding in a stairway, Armando tells Caesar he will go to the authorities and bluff his way out of the situation. Meantime, Caesar has to hide among his own kind (in a cage of orangutans) and soon finds himself being trained for slavery through violent conditioning.

Now I want to go more into the story, more into the rising, but sadly I can't.
The acting is great but you'd think after these movies, they would make the mouth moving and talking at the same time better, no they didn't, it is still the same. At one point when the apes start rising, there is no beginning to it, it doesn't explain how the apes got together, it just shows them working together which was annoying.
Now I would give more infomation but I don't remember much.

My verdict is 7/10

Escape from the Planet of the Aps (1971)
This will have the ending from the last review, SO LEAVE till next month since that is when I finish these reviews.
After "beaneth of the planet of the apes" when the nuclear rocket exploded when Taylor and Brent was trying to stop them, (Cornelius, Zira, Main Characters.... And Dr. Milo, played respectively by Roddy McDowall, Kim Hunter, and Sal Mineo) got in a spaceship they somehow found, I ain't sure where, doesn't show it at all. They go back to earth before Apes ruled, they were taken to a lab to be looked at by Stephanie Branton (Natalie Trundy) and Lewis Dixon (Bradford Dillman).

They had Tests (A memory test techinally) And Zira got them all right, they were given a Banana up in the air, and the puzzle was to get it. Zira made a staircase out of chairs you can sit on (They are boxes techinally) and when she got to the top, she didn't get it. They wondered why and asked outloud to themselfs, and Zira said "Because we don't like Banana's", and they were shocked, after awhile Dr. Milo (One of the apes incase you forgot which ones are which) Got killed by an Ape in the cell next to them.

There were some problems in the movie, such as when they usually talk, their mouth doesn't move (But like I said in my other review, it is in the 1968, when they made the first film), They don't listen to them most of the time which I will explain in the next review and it was boring half of the time.
I did like how it focused on Zira and Cornelius.
My final Verdict is 8/10.

Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
Now I hate doing sequels cause people haven't seen the first, and most movies have the ending added again, so I am going to skip it to the main story.
So basically Brent (James Franciscus Main character) goes looking for Taylor and his crew and ends up crashing into the same time period that Taylor did and his crew, Nova goes looking for help since Taylor (Big Spoiler) Goes missing. (Big Spoiler over) You might be wondering why it is a big spoiler? And that those tags shouldn't be there, and for your infomation, they are required and it has to do with the ending and beginning (Which has the ending again) of this movie. Anyway, she takes Taylor's Dog tags looking for help like I said, she stumbles over Brent (Not Literally) and Brent looks alot like Taylor and I am pretty sure, Nova got confused for abit. Anyway she goes to him, and Brent asks if she knows Taylor, she gives him the dog tags and asked her some questions not realizing she can't speak. Anyway he hops onto Nova's horse with Nova on it, they go to the town the same one that had taylor and of course, they got off the horse and Brent followed Nova to Zira's and Cornelius's house. Zira and Cornelius got confused since they thought it was Taylor but he explained that he is not and is looking for him. Attempting to flee the city, Brent and Nova are captured by gorillas. Ursus orders they be used for target practice, but Zira helps them escape. They hide in a cave which Brent soon discovers is the ruins of the Queensboro Plaza station of the New York City Subway

I shall not mention the ending in the next post, cause it is required. But to see this ending, you gotta watch it Or read my blog post.
Now so far This is my second Favorite movie of the franchise. Great Acting, actors, scenery, storyline, costume and makeup.

Planet of the Apes (1968)

Astronauts Taylor (Charlton Heston Main Character), Landon (Robert Gunner), Dodge (Jeff Burton), crash on a planet after being in deep hibernation on a Planet that looks like earth, one of the Astronauts Stewart (an uncredited Dianne Stanley) Die of a leak meaning that she turned old and just died. Anyway they crash into water, and have to swim out of the Ship onto land, Taylor, landon and Dodge tries to find a town but they find people, cut up clothes, in a corn field they are mute though. Anyway after being caught of stealing food, apes come in and catch them on horses (Apes on horses, not humans), They end up shooting, knocking out, and throwing nets on the humans, Dodge was killed, Landon is knocked unconscious, and Taylor is shot in the throat. The gorillas take Taylor to Ape City, where his life is saved by two chimpanzee scientists, animal psychologist Zira (Kim Hunter Second main character) and surgeon Galen (Wright King). Upon awakening, Taylor now housed in a cage with a girl whom he later calls Nova (Linda Harrison Third Main Character) discovers that his throat wound has rendered him mute.
Taylor discovers that the apes, who can talk, are in control and are divided into a strict caste system: the gorillas as police, military, hunters and workers; the orangutans as administrators, politicians, lawyers and religious clerics; and the chimpanzees as intellectuals and scientists. Humans, who cannot talk, are considered feral vermin and are hunted for sport and either killed outright, enslaved for manual labor, domesticated as pets and used for scientific experimentation.
Zira and her fiancé, Cornelius (Roddy McDowall Fourth Main Character), an archaeologist, take an interest in Taylor.

Since it is a 1986 film, people might think its crap but it isn't, it was very good in those days. Great acting, makeup, costums, effects, actors, storyline and scenery.
I Give it 7.5/10
Could be abit better in some ways but hey, thats what the remake is for.

Double The Fun 1972 and 2011

Well this is two reviews in one, Two movies, one post.
First off,
This is a Movie Review site and THERE will be spoilers.

Evil Roy Slade (1972)
I just watched this movie the other day, now I know how to win card games, "Three cards and a gun".
Orphaned and left in the desert as an infant, Evil Roy Slade (main character John Astin) grew up alone safe for his teddy bear and mean. As an adult, he is notorious for being the "meanest villain in the West" So he's thrown for quite a loop when he falls for sweet schoolteacher Betsy Potter (Second main Character Pamela Austin). Oh I'm pretty sure they got married in real life. Now I ain't sure what to saw, I mean it was great for the 1972 film, acting great, good camera work, and great actors, not to mention this is a comedy film.
John Astin is so far the greatest actor I have seen.
I give it
9.5/10

The Rise of the Planet of the apes (2011)
Now this is the greatest well second greatest film, the first is ERS (Look Up ^) I have ever seen, mainly cause I seen it on my birthday. So techinally this is a Prequel to a 1968 film and a Re-boot, it is like the conquest, but not exactly, Basically it starts off with Three chimpanzees being captured in an African jungle, and shipped to San Francisco. Will Rodman (Second main character James Franco) is a scientist at pharmaceutical company Gen-Sys, who is trying to find a cure for Alzheimer's diease. The first test subject "bright eyes" goes crazy, well they think, but she is trying to protect Caeser (Main Character Andy Serkis)
Will's father Charles (John Lithgow), who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, names him Caesar (Andy Serkis) and Will raises him in his house. Caesar has genetically inherited his mother's high intelligence and learns and develops quickly.
I give it 8/10 Great effects, acting, camera work, storyline and actors.
Reason I gave it 8, is because after re-watching it, it wasn't good since it was on small screen, so to enjoy it, you gotta see it on a giant screen. Yes I have seen it at cinema's fyi.

Red Dog (2011)

Warning this is a Movie Review site, THERE will be spoilers

I do hate movies that make me sad, but this one actually was good, basically Red Dog is based on a book, which is also based on a true story, it takes place in 1679 I think I forgot, and in Australia.

Basically a dog called "Red Dog (Koko)" got posioned or Shot, and is seen being tried to be put down, A trucker goes to the counter and asks whats happening, they explain, and Publican Jack Collins (Noah Tyler) narrates the story of the dog.

After telling how red dog came to be, and saying he had no master, an Amercian then takes over and tell some more of the story. That a person named John Grant (Josh Lucas) became his master, he meets a girl named Nancy on his Bus, they start dating, about two years later, still living in Dampier, Western Australia.

He proposes to Nancy, She says yes. John and Nancy go on a date and tells Red to stay at Johns house, and will be back in the morning. In the morning John ends up having an Accident in dying, Red waited for 1 year for John, and searched the hole world for him. After that, he went back and waited. He accepted he was gone and continued on his doggy life, back to reality, Red gets up and walks outside without being noticed and is found at Johns grave, dead.
More years later, the trucker 'Thomash (Luke Ford)" comes back, I assume dating Nancy with another Dog, just like Red.

I loved it, great acting, perfect scenery, lovely angles.
10/10 I recommend to watch it.

Mr. Poppers Penguins (2011)

Warning this is a Movie Review site, THERE will be spoilers.

Now I just saw this movie last night, so this review is pretty fresh.
Anyway Mr. poppers Penguins star's Jim Carrey (obivously you can see in the poster) anyway, it has been awhile since I seen a Jim Carrey film, last one was I think that one with God, I forgot the name, but he built an ark, a flood happened so on and on. Anyway he really aged quite abit, not the same in the poster, but like alot, abit of wrinkles here and there, color starting to fade I guess.

So enough about Jim, lets get to the story line. Basically Tim/Popper (Jim Carrey) is the main Character, he got a dirvorce with his wife, and has two kids, so one day his father passed away and sent him one penguin, then calling catchers to get rid of it, another box arrives with more penguins. Well you have to watch the movie to understand, or go to Wikipedia.

It is funny, still the same Jim from liar liar, and all the other movies which is good, I suck at descriping my favorite parts, but I did enjoy the movie, It wasn't bad, I would surely watch it again.
